Erase Your Debts; Keep Your Property & Possessions!
As you may have heard in the news, new bankruptcy laws went into effect on October 17th, 2005. The credit card companies and banks did manage to change the laws in their favor to some extent. But Congress did not totally change the bankruptcy laws. In fact, Congress passed some new laws that actually help consumers. For instance, almost all retirement plans are now protected in bankruptcy (previously, some were not). Similarly, some income (such as Social Security, unemployment compensation, and similar government benefits) is excluded for certain purposes.
Despite the new law, we can still file bankruptcy for you no matter what your situation is. For some higher income families, Chapter 13 may be a better choice than Chapter 7. Because the new law is complicated, it is now more important than ever to have an experienced bankruptcy lawyer on your side. The Law Office of Daniel Gindes specializes in consumer bankruptcy cases.
Did you know:
You can stop harassing phone calls at home and work - once you have hired a lawyer, it is illegal for creditors to call or contact you.
You can probably keep all of your property and possessions, while erasing debt from credit cards, medical bills, unsecured loans, and most other obligations.
Even if you own a home and have substantial equity, we can help you to reduce or eliminate your debt without disrupting your lifestyle.
In some situations, we can even erase your tax debt. If you are feeling overwhelmed with debt, call today for a free, confidential consultation. All you have to lose is your debt!
Be Assured:
At the Law Offices of Daniel Gindes, we strive to provide an informal, relaxed atmosphere in which to discuss your financial situation. With fifteen years of experience, Attorney Gindes understands that when you are considering bankruptcy, you may be feeling anxious and overwhelmed. We know that the process is very personal and can be embarrassing. We make every effort to keep your anxiety to a minimum and treat you with confidentiality and respect. At your free initial consultation, Attorney Gindes will take the time to meet with you and explain the process to you. He will not pass you off to another member of his staff to get background information from you.

Caution About Debt Consolidation:
Be aware that debt consolidation agencies are usually sponsored by the credit card industry. Many of these agencies try to convince you to continue to pay your debt in a consolidation plan rather than filing for bankruptcy - even if a fresh start is in your best interest.
A debt consolidation loan is a personal loan that may allow you to consolidate your debt into one monthly payment. The interest rates on personal debt consolidation loans are usually very high, especially for people with financial problems. In addition, these agencies usually target people with poor credit by offering what appears to be an easy solution. Many people are not aware of the high rates and fees involved until it's too late. In addition, your credit report may indicate that your debt is “managed by credit counseling,” which is a negative remark on your report.
If you have financial problems, please contact our office before entering into a credit counseling or debt consolidation program. An initial consultation with Attorney Gindes is free, and we will give you an honest appraisal of what your best course of action is. You can call our office toll free at (877) 639-5100, or click here.
